How does a patch bar work?
A patch bar is a staffed station where guests choose a patch and watch it get pressed onto their hat, tote, or jacket in under a minute.
The idea is simple, and that's the point. We arrive and set up a styled patch wall — rows of embroidered, chenille, woven, and leather patches, including any custom designs made for your event. Guests come to the wall, browse, and pick the patches they want.
Step by step
- Choose: A guest picks their patch (or a few) and the base item — a hat, tote, or jacket.
- Place: An attendant helps position the layout so it looks right before anything is permanent.
- Press: The patch goes on a professional heat press set to the correct time and temperature for that fabric.
- Wear: After a quick cool-down, the finished piece is handed back, ready to wear.
Guests never handle the heat — our crew runs the presses. The whole interaction takes about a minute, so the line keeps moving even at busy events. The result is a permanent, washable patch on something the guest chose themselves.
